The Arguments for Evolution and Polygenism
The results of evolution are only unpredictable from a human perspective. God doesn't have to guide evolution in the sense of nudging it in a particular direction. He can also set up the laws of the universe such that the processes of nature will naturally produce a result he foresees without him needing to intervene. It will just happen because of the way he set up the processes. So I don't see God having particular goals for evolution, like among others, the development of the human physical form,. as being incompatible with the playing out of processes that God set up without him having to intervene and course correct those processes.
