The Adventures of Brule
Brule made contact with Champlain in July of 1618 at the Trading Post of Tuaw Riviere. He expressed his desire to go west, particularly toward the North Sea that he said lay beyond Lake Huron. The ploy appears to have saved Brule and escort him to the Niagara River area. They would let him continue on his own. At this point, Brule does his disappearing act again; we don't have any record of him or his activities.
