Jeff Yang: "I would read the script, I'd picture it and the footage would come in and I was like, nope, nothing I pictured. And so then I had to sort of read just, you know, what I pictured to what I had" He says he always rereads the script before starting a project but also looks at dailies for clues on how to put them all together. In this case, that was really clearly the goal because Ben had such a vision always. None of the footage was like a throwaway or phone and it was all so specific that you really wanted to make sure you were doing service to what Ben had intended to get.
