Aether of night is leaning into that destruction of the world. Brandon Sanderson has stated so many times that he's not really interested in doing quote unquote grim dark and likes putting nalice an element of hope and positivity into his stories. The indian was rushed and indians are always difficult to do it's like everything is fine just kidding everyone's going to die the end the book is now okay goodbye now. It seems like what it was missing was that setup that he eventually nails in misborn era one where there is this character that we follow and she grows and becomes eventually in the place where the world can end but because of her actions.
