How Does Grief Affect Relationships?

I've always been curious about the intensity of anger that people will describe during grief. Even when people can rationally tell you, this doesn't make any sense, but i'm so angry at them for leaving me. And as i thought about it, i think what partly happens is we attend to the closeness dimension of our relationship. We are constantly trying to negotiate closeness, to maintain closeness with someone who's gone. It leads to things like feeling angry with the person who's died. Now, not in a rational way, but i think that feeling comes from us trying to maintain relationships that happens for years and years.
