The Marriage of Convenience
The push to dismantle public education is led by a group of market fundamentalists. They believe schools shouldn't be governed through democratic politics, that they should be directed by the invisible hand of the free market. And then in this marriage of convenience, there's another group that I've recently started calling Christian nationalists. It's really a marriage of convenience that works for both groups.
