Babylon: The City of Babel
In 605 BC Nebuchadnezzar, besieges Jerusalem. He wants to make these Hebrew children Babylonian. Not only was it an ethnic group, it was a religious group. Remember Babylon goes back to the city of Babel. It means gate of God. They were trying to build a gate to God apart from God. What they were saying is we are our only God. The spirit of Babylon is battling even now for the hearts and minds of America's youth.
