Galetarianism and the Improving Utility of Material Goods

According to classical utilitarianism, you should maximise happiness at the cost of increasing inequality. But then a galatarian came in which sky bushed that. Galetarianism is often credited with perceiving the diminishing marginal utility of material goods. So taking an increment of good from someone who has a lot and giving it tosomeone who has a little is likely to increase utility. On the other hand, he also thought that to take away a good from some one typically harms that person more than to give that same good to some one else if they were at the same level of well being.
