Decoupling of Economic Growth and Energy Consumption
Many international economic forecasts show a growth in energy consumption, but there showing that g d p will grow much faster than energy consumption. That would imply a decoupling of economic growth and energy use. If you're a climatologist, that's not what you want. The longer you maintain a state of overshoot, ecological overshoot, the more you're taking the risk of degrading ecological cosystems.
