A group of japanese scientists were trying to map out a network of protected areas. A famous American explorer called mike fay was walking from northern congo down to the coast of gabon and discovering some really precious places. The scientist put together a plan, and we got the chance to meet omar bongo, the president at that time. Within a month of showing him those photographs, we had a network of 13 national parks.
