The Fallacy of Composition
Bertrand Russell famously had a BBC debate in 1948 with Frederick Copelston. This is the fallacy I feel you're reasoning of inferring that something is true of the whole from the fact that it is true of part of the whole. It's extremely important to understand that neither Russell nor Copelston was talking about the column cosmological argument. They were talking about a different argument, which does not reason from part to whole.
