The link between physical activity and mental health is immense. I think that as teachers, we can all get a lot better in espousing the mental health benefits of physical activity. Many students are put off physical activity because it's associated with kind of competitiveness or an emphasis on being skillful. Students are so mentally, sorry, so mental health literate nowadays. And I think that if all of us talk about sport or physical activity, even something like walking, we talk about it as something that has mental health benefits. That could go a long, long way in ensuring that kids maintain appropriate levels ofphysical activity.
