Science is not an illiteral description of reality. It's just atestable model, y ant, a method. We don't know if any of our theories are how the world actually works. That would require some kind of metaphysical certitude that science doesn't have. Science can progress towards an increasingly accurate and useful prediction of reality. But at some point, there's no practical difference between this is an accurate model of reality and this is reality.
