In two thousand 19 total us. Production of crude oil was about 12 point three million barrels per day. That's justacross onshore and off shore. The industry still generates four to five billion dollars a year for the federal government. These are thousands of jobs, there's the therewa you're talking about even to day. And so it's kind of, i think, a backward system. Other countries, norway, major offshore oil producer. Canada, these places have adopted a much different approach to regulation which is much more about performance base standards.
