Physical reality is governed by the laws of quantum theory among other laws. Applying those laws to coin tosses in a very hand waving but nonetheless consistent manner we can predict that close to 50% of the time we get heads and close to 50 per cent tails. But it is inconsistent with saying that either of those can be predicted to be exactly 50%. In the real world flipped coins do not necessarily land heads or tails theyland heads or tails or they do something else.
