Freeform is an actual 3D environment that you share like the counter counter antidote for Facebook Horizons where it's something personal and malleable. I think a lot of the stuff Apple's done over the last seven plus years it's been prep work for when they get into VR and AR more seriously especially all the sharing emoji and FaceTime and iMessage groups. Freeform was perfect for planning a vacation or something like that longer than ahead of lettuce probably longer than music memos hopefully as long as clips are used. The other weird thing that strikes me about it is the fact the board has to be square yeah which relates to what people think as sticky notes in the real world but you can grow
