acceptance and commitment therapy is a modality I like. It's not primarily trying to get rid of that mental distress. You're primarily trying to facilitate meaningful goal directed lives. And if you can do that, then your distress goes down. We could all benefit from accepting a little bit of that distress on our way to something that we find meaningful.
