The Future of Social Security
The US has $200 trillion of unfunded liabilities in the form of Social Security and Medicare. We've been able to get away with having these systems that it's been known for 30 years that Social Security would go broke in the 2020s sometime. It's no coincidence that that is toward the end of a fourth turning. Eventually by about 2030, we've got to get through this as a civilization and figure out what we're going to do.
