I Will Rescue My Flock and Shepherd My People Israel, Micah 5:2

Shepherds of israel, who have been feeding yourselves, should not shepherds, feed the sheep. You eat the fat. You clothe yourselves with the wool. You slaughter the fat ones, but you do not feed the sheep the weak. That is not benign rule. That is malignant rule. And so the people long for a shepherd, a king who will rule them with persuasion and kindness, with patience and grace - even as he protects them from their enemies. So god says, i myself will come and shepherd my people. I'll send my servant david to do it."
