Cannibalism betwee embryos inside the womb. Take a minute to pity the poor shark researcher who discovered this phenomenon. The story goes that in 19 forty eight, stuart springer was dissecting a female sand tiger shark he'd caught off the coast of louisiana. He was rummaging around in her oveducs, as you do, when his hand was bitten. That's right, he was bitten by a shark, by an unborn embryo shark still living in its dead mother's oveducts.
