How to Be an Elder in the Church

I never nominate a guy. So the way our church works, our elders bring a name to the congregation of a brother we want to see recognizes an elder that we think would serve well as an elder. And then I won't even second them and somebody else will need to second it. But if it's not sort of built into somebody coming here from another church and getting on staff, just in our normal eldership, I never bring up any names.
