I heard you talking about the importance of being able to have an individual interpretation. How does one figure out how to play something that you've been playing for 10, 15, 20 years as an excerpt? I think that a lot of times people think that they're supposed to do things that are original and that's a mistake. You cannot wait for the audition to get inspired. Expression is technique as much else.
