The Importance of Humility in Regulation of Generative AI
A lot of the arguments against substantially reforming or rolling back 230 often point to reliance interests. When it comes to generative AI though, I've been wondering whether that same argument might not hold precisely because the technology is very new. It simply hasn't been around long enough for that reliance to have been built up. So rather than worry too much about the reliance interests, I would just try and focus on the potential benefits and how we can maximize those while protecting ourselves from harm.
