How to Write a Great Fight Scene

In order to do those battle scenes emotionally the way Tolkien described them, Return of the King would have been rated X. So they had to step it down. They had to retranslate Tolkien's work for the screen. I identify the key, you know, pinnacle, or a nadir, emotional moment in the fight scene. And I use that as the punchline.
