The author and her family were on their way home from a christmas holiday in San Francisco. They stopped for lunch at a local restaurant, where an old man started talking to the couple's one-year-old son. The mother was so embarrassed that she walked out of the eatery before he could say anything else. She says there is this beautiful capacity each person has to make your heart a war free zone.
