The Distribution of Risk in a Startup

The way we think about risk, yeah, is also pretty interesting and I think often wrong-headed because there's a sense that like innovation is by definition risky. When you break it up into small pieces, a piece can fail as an experiment and it's just not that much of a risk. But people ought to be able to take smart business risks. Most companies are willing to do big mega deals and take big multi-billion dollar risks up here but haven't given everybody the chance to make small, smart bets to build something new.
