The Context of Racism in Music
I've not heard many music artists come back online racism specifically, but I do talk some about hip hop in my book. And I think that we can learn from hip hop and from the way that folks think about and respond to racism in their own rights. Your book spans Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, and New York. Can you compare and contrast the contextual differences between these settings? Are the phenomena you're discussing in your research uniform across these different settings? Or is there something unique about Atlanta's situation vis-a-vis New York's or Chicago's vis-o-vis Boston's or Los Angeles vis-A-vis the other cities? Yeah. Ooh,
