De La Soul represented a type of rap that was like we're not creating so much of an image to present to a market. We're just teenagers rapping afrocentrism and just like goofy nerdy stuff in there. It's cool to think about how the reappearance of this body of work on streaming services could kickstart a resurgence of interest in De La Soul.
