Aristotle's Concept of Substantial Form
Form is not matter. You could have a cylinder made out of wood just as well as that of calcium carbonate. They're not the same thing, but together they make up one thing. And this is very, very helpful for understanding the nature of the soul. Okay. All right. So Aristotle then will draw a parallel between accidental change and substantial change. Right. When I die, however, I'm going to turn it into a bunch of chemicals. I'm not going to be anymore. That’s a substantial change. okay.
