The Lord's Supper is Jesus saying I surrender all. The activity that we have to do that then replaced Supper, that is what I think impoverishes the sort of memorial view of what goes on in the Supper because it becomes about what we do. And I think this is that revivalism. We can't even disagree about it because the altar call really did and a lot of other gimmicks take the place of the Lord's Suppers.
