Vladimir putten wanted to be a secret agent for the k g b. He went from being disorganized, disobedient and lazy student to becoming almost militantly disciplined. His job was to cultivate relationships with normal people who might be saying or doing things that the soviet union did not approve of. The thing he most would like to find would be an american spy in saint petersburg. But unfortunately, he didn't really have that opportunity because there isn't ton of action.
