The saviour mentality of big green really wipes out solutions that people have known about for thousands of years. I think that savour mentality also leads to the erasure of so many people and histories. As we watch dangerous climate change exasperate, we have to change our conception of what it means to be an environmentalist. Maybe that ecological crisis is not the best way to frame or to motivate the actions we're taking.
