Women's Rights in Japan

Women are prohibited under Japanese law from remarrying within 100 days of a divorce. The thinking is that if a woman quickly remarries and then has a child, it might cause confusion as to who the biological father is. It also fails to cover the possibility that a woman might get married and not have a child soon after. There's always some daftass who insists on kind of arguing the toss and saying, no, I think I actually should stay the way it is for this reason.
