Is There Such a Thing as a 10 X Coder?
The 10 X coder is an idea that some people are remarkably better at coding than others. It was originally observed in a series of studies in the 60s and 70s, which were not terribly statistically valid. The person writing the prototype really punches above their weight because they're creating all the stuff new themselves. But as with all sort of, I think self-mythologized aspects, it gets blown out of proportion.
