The European Growth Slow Growth Story Is Not New
The markets have known for some time that Europe is flatlining. But there are a couple of factors to give us a little bit of optimism, he says. And alongside lower energy prices, which are continuing to feed their way through lower inflation or this inflation, that process will carry on higher wages. The other factor is that in Europe, relative to receive wisdom, I think, you look at things like German exports to the US, to China, they're actually holding up quite well.
