We were quite happy with forensic finger printing until the shirley mc key case came out in scotland. And then they started to research finger prints, and they found that the problem isn't about the variation in finger prints. The problem is about the way in which we record differences in the finger prints. Weh'd gone from a position of accepting a set number of similarities as being the idividual.
