The Death Penalty, the Hanging of Criminals

There's a great Dan Carlin podcast episode about this called Pain Fotainment. And it's basically about the ways torture has been used for entertainment throughout history. So that's just an again, another good example of how differently people could think in the past and how that moment of the horrific suffering for that person, even if you think they deserve it, was entertainment. I don't think that the descent against it is at the same level as it was maybe like 10, 20, 30 years ago.
