How Do You Predict a Divorce?

Gottman found that criticizing each other's personality, contempt for the person from a position of superiority, being defensive or stone walling or emotional withdrawal. These behaviors were found to be highly predictive of divorce later on. But it's similar to attachment and personality in that what you're basically looking for in matchmaking is people who don't do those things. So there are measures that can determine if two people are high on differentiation or not.
