Don't Swear, I Don'T Say Bad Words
This is a verse talking about the way that we might tear down others with our mouths. Paul himself uses words sometimes that are, frankly, the best sort of way to translate it would be something very much like our modern swear words in some cases. This is not a passage right here where paul is saying, don't curse your brother. Don't talk bad about your brother. Ye. If you go and yon cuss your brother out, then, ye, you've probably violated this. Yes, iactly. But it's not the words int of themselves, as how you used them that made that made it a violation of what paul is talking about here.
