Most Ukrainians would see this as quite understandable. You shouldn't have an election during the war. Maybe some think that there should be an election anyway, even if they would like to see Zelensky continue the presidency. This is really not something that can happen in a wartime context when bombs are falling every night on Odessa, Lviv, Kiev, Dniepra and elsewhere. And I think ordinary citizens are cognizant of that.
