Osmond Lairdoll's CPR Doll
Osmond Lairdoll designed a CPR mannequin to practice on. He wanted it to have a woman's face, since he thought doctors wouldn't want to put their mouths on a male mannequin. A mask hanging on his in-laws' wall was supposedly made from the face of a young woman who drowned in the Senn River in Paris. She looks very serene for a dead person, especially a drowned person.Lairdoll and Bjorn Lind spent so much time working on the doll together that they became good friends. They named her Recessiane, or Rescue Anni.
