Is the Brain a Generator of Consciousness?
There is a tight correlation between patterns of brain activity and inner experience. I would postulate that living beings are sort of dissociated psychic complexes, dissociated altars of a transpersonal field of subjectivity. So what the brain is is what the mental activity within an altar looks like from across its dissociative boundary. That's all there is to it. The brain is not what causes it. It's what it looks like.
