The Importance of Traditional Medicine in China

The majority of these immigrants came from lower income families peasant families in southeastern china and they got signed up to these horrific contracts that would lock them in for you know five years or more with very low wages compared to their other co-workers the european counterparts. They had to resort to some of their own traditional cultural practices when they couldn't go to a doctor or something like that. One of the things they brought with them was the idea of traditional medicine including snake oil that we mentioned from the chinese water snake which actually works a little apparently well it makes sense though doesn't it's it is an aquatic creature.
