How to Find a Mentor?

Don't be afraid of contacting people that you think are powerful. Don't go for the biggest name or somebody that's a celebrity. Go for the person that meshes you with what you want to do five years down the road. A good mentor is almost like your second parent, and they have to fit you psychologically and emotionally. You'd be surprised how many power players were actually interested in having an apprentice under them.
