The Apocalypse in the New Testament

Mark dramatized paul's theology. Apocalypticism is a relic of ancient superstition. Jesus was supposed to come back in the first century. It didn't happen, but a lot of new testament thinking got stuck here. There are still christians who have not put jesus coming on the clouds in that file of things not worth thinking about. But these preachers ignore the timing as specified in the texts. And starting with mark, jesus was portrayed predicting his return some day soon after his death on the clouds.
