Being a doctor is in some ways like being on a treadmill. You need to ask yourself, what do i want from life? It's really difficult to advise doctors who don't have a clear idea of those things. I think doctors that spend their time exclusively on mill of working, earning, spending, yet trying to save, without a real plan, it makes it much more likely that you might fall into the trap of doing the wrong things. The second biggest mistake i see doctors making is not thinking about the bigger picture. Your goals for life should drive your financial plan, the other way around.
