The Effects of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
More than 2% of the US population is thought to suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder. Obsessions are reoccurring thoughts or urges that are experienced as intrusive, unwanted and for most people cause anxiety for distress. People with OCD often experience another form of mental illness when they have OCD. The diagnostic manual placed on OCD was separated from anxiety disorders which were once grouped together.
