How to Explain Radicular Pain to Patients
There is a lot of complexity to this diagnosis to sciatica. Some patients are concerned, because like you said, their MRI doesn't show anything that would contribute to their radicular pain. In many cases, it's an entrapment neuropathy. It can just be the disk crowding it out or a bit of arthritic changes, crowding itout.
