What if the Two Armies Fought Each Other Instead of the Opponents?

Think about the speed. The fastest thing on a battlefield in the biblical era of warfare is a horse. Think about how strange it would be if we said that same thing to day. What if we could put a man on mars 500 years ago, but we can't quite do that again yet? There were lots of periods in human history where at least somewhere else in the world, there were civilizations that were dead and gone, that had capabilities above your own. In this particular situation, we are defining it in terms of the army that ends on the field. It's a sucker's game if you pick the later army.
