The Importance of Curation in Nonfiction
Joanna Wallace: My feeling on traditional publishing, I've been fairly soured over that experience just because my personal experience wasn't great. It was certainly a goal for me to be traditionally published. But today, it's different. So if you have a book that has broad appeal and belongs on brick and mortar books or shelves, then it may be worth considering. If nothing happens, if you're not able to get an agent or a deal by then, then maybe you return to self publishing. And so how can authors start curating, guiding things themselves, or contact people who are curators to try and stand out?
